eRko was officialy established in 1990 by registration through the Ministry of Interior. But many people were working in spirit of eRko also before…

What kind of activities do you do?
Regular local meetings in small groups for children in parishes is the basic unit of our work.
Summer camps – for children from local groups, whole Slovakia.
Good News - public collection permitted by the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic. During the Christmas time, children sing Carols and they are collecting funds for a development project in Africa.
Campaigns – Dead of children help, Candle for unborn children, 25th of March…

Do your members wear a uniform or use any kind of symbol?
We wear T-Shirts with eRko symbols (heart, butterfly, sun and fish).

Do you have a year theme?
Let´s change a piece of world with love. Our year theme includes two aspects – Year of Mercy and “challenges” of globalization, interconected with encyclical Laudato si. We want to bring this to our children during our activities.

Are you in a partnership or do you do some international activities?
Yes through FIMCAP, CIDSE and Good News campaign.

Do you publish a magazine or newsletter for your members?
Rebrík –is the only magazine with catholic spirit for children in Slovakia. it is issued every month in 12,000 copies
Lusk – methodical magazine for our leaders. It is issued every month in 1,000 copies.
