Fimcap Africa Action Plan

FIMCAP Africa is to help Fimcap realise its objectives through the catholic youth of Africa.

Following the General Assembly held in Munich, 2010 where Climate Change was adopted as the general theme of FIMCAP for 3 years, Fimcap Africa shall have a common plan for Africa with the following specific themes for each year.

2011-2013

2011- The Power of You (Th)

Fimcap Africa wishes to recognize the efforts of her volunteers at the Regional, National and Parochial levels.  With this, every organisation is to identify all her volunteers and appreciate the enormous work that they are doing. To bring about efficiency and effectiveness, all volunteers should be trained, motivated and developed to meet the present socio-economic challenges of the youth work.

2012- Needs of children and Young People/ Celebration of FIMCAP 50th anniversary.

During this year, Fimcap Africa wishes to recall the reason for her establishment, which is to address the needs and challenges of children and young people.  All Organizations shall try to look back in retrospect if the needs are being met, identify the new needs and challenges of children and young people, draw attention to these needs by bringing it before the authority.

In this special Golden year of Fimcap, all organizations shall celebrate this important anniversary with all her members.

2013 – Sustainable youth development

Fimcap Africa wishes to bring to fore sustainable youth development. To embark on activities, events and programmes that have lasting effect on youth and youth development. Youth formation must be encouraged and youth skills must be developed. Structures that promote sustainable youth development must be outlined, encouraged and executed at regional, national, and parochial settings.
