FIMCAP is an international, non-profit umbrella organisation for Catholic, Christian and other youth organisations. Its 34 member organisations are based in 29 countries. Every three years, we gather for the General Assembly.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

The letters stand for 'Fédération Internationale des Mouvements Catholiques d’Action Paroissiale'<\/strong> (French for 'International Federation of Catholic Parochial Youth Movements').<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Founded in 1962 and recognized as an official Catholic organization by the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

In FIMCAP we try to uncover and understand the specific needs of children and young people all over the world. We build upon the local experiences of our members to track down the needs of young people and youth workers and develop actions to deal with them. We represent our member organisations in international bodies \u2013 to be a strong voice of young people.<\/div>
