Everyday activities occur most often in the various divisions of the organisation.


- High schoolstudents have their youth groups, students have their corporations and clubs, family activities, book clubs and prayer groups.
- We organize educational summer camps for children, youth and families, not exclusively for members of the organization. Children mature spiritually at said camps while getting stronger physically, acquiring new skills and discovering their talents.
- For high school and university students, we organize academies, youth retreats, which help develop intellectual abilities, prepare young people for future challenges and delve into questions regarding faith.
- We organize study days, courses and events regularly, taking into account the current issues, needs and challenges of society and the organisation.

Do your members wear a uniform or some kind of symbol?
Yes. Members wear a pin and a ribbon; both the ribbon’s colors and the pin’s colors signify different age groups.

Yes. In 2025 it is: „We are a Church“, in 2024: „Brave to live love“

Yes, we have a paper magazine „Ateitis“ and an electronic newsletter for members.

Currently we only use social media platforms like Facebook but we are working on developing our Chiro magazine (Flame). All members will be required to subscribe to it.

MCECC started in 2012

How many members does it have?

MCECC includes 227 local groups in differents parts of the catalan territory, This numbers mean 3900 leaders and approximately 20.000 children per year (arriving to 25.000 during summer).

What kind of activity do they carry out?

The activities really depend on each local group. The majority of them meet Saturday (morning or afternoon) to play games and learn different values through the play value, through workshops, through prayers… There are also local groups that meet Friday or Sunday, and others that just prepare summer camps.

Do your members wear a uniform or some kind of symbol?

Our members do not wear a uniform, despite this some of the groups (is not mandatory) they use a “foulard” (a triangular cloth of different colors) and each local group has its own combination of colours.

Do you have a theme for the year?

No, we do not. We have a theme for each youth gathering and leaders gathering and we release different resources regarding each theme.

Are you in a society or do you have international activities?

No, we are a part of FIMCAP only.

Do you publish a magazine or newsletter for your members?

Every two months we publish and send a magazine called “Estris” to all our local groups. We share some of the articles in www.estris.cat website.

Chiro aims to bring children and young people together in their free time in as many places as possible in Flanders and Brussels. We want to appeal to all children and young people, regardless of their social or cultural background, regardless of their physical or intellectual abilities. When did the organisation start?

Since 1990 eRko is registered at the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic as a non-governmental organisation. Nonofficial work started in 1973 as part of the underground Church in Slovakia.

How many members do you have?

It has more than 6500 members and nowadays, it is one of the biggest children’s organisation in Slovakia.

What kind of activity do they carry out?

– Regular meetings of children in small groups

– Communities where we talk discuss various topics, play games, and search for the answers to the questions that bother us

Yes, every school year we have a theme of the year. Actually it is „You can be a hero too.“

Besides FIMCAP we are members of CIDSE and cooperate with IFCA.

We publish the magazine with methodic materials for leaders of children groups, named LUSK. And we send the newsletter about how it is working at eRko every month.

Laughing together, experiencing unforgettable moments, singing and enjoying campfires, diving into adventurous outdoor games, hiking and spending the night under the stars, putting up tents and cooking over the fire, drawing treasure maps, dressing up, putting our heads together and developing ideas, taking responsibility and putting things into practice, celebrating special moments, finding friends for life – all this and much more is offered by Jungwacht Blauring. Jubla offers a fun school of life.

Do you have a theme for the year?

Since 2005, Jubla has been putting an annual theme into practice on the basis of its mission statement, principles, position and multiannual objectives. The aim is to address children and adolescents and to convey specific contents of Jubla. For 2020 the year theme is “Feuer und Flamme” (fire and flame).

Are you in a partnership or do you do some international activities?

Jubla Switzerland is a member of FIMCAP and also maintains a partnership with the Chiro Philippines.

We communicate via social media and regularly send newsletters to our members. The association magazine “Hosesack” appears twice a year.

What kind of activity do they carry out?

Our main activities are ‘The Play Day’ dedicated to children and youth 5 to 13 years old. We also have summer camps for our volunteers where they learn how to become monitors and leaders. Each Local Youth Group organises activities for the children in the community and as well for the volunteers: youth exchange, treasure hunt, fund raising, etc. We are organising activities for children and youth with special needs, we also have a national week dedicated to those activities.

No, we do not have uniforms, we only have T-shirts with the logo and each local group is making T-shirts with their own name.

Do you have a theme for the year?

We do not have a general theme, but we have a month theme.

Are you in a society or do you have international activities?

We do have international partnerships with ADR Vlaanderen, KAZOU, Somepro, TON (The Open Network for Community Development) and working on a collaboration with Chiro Vlaanderen. Partnerships with multiple local schools on a national level.

Jong Nederland is a national youth organisation which gives young people the space they need. Jong Nederland wants everyone from 4 to 18 years to have the opportunity to play in their free time, for relaxation and development.

In total, we have 1.400 volunteers at local departments and 4.000 youth members.

What kind of activity do they carry out?

Our departments organise all kinds of activities in the categories sports & games, outdoor and creativity.

We do not have a uniform, but most departments have sweaters or t-shirts with the name of their department and the national logo of Jong Nederland (sometimes with some modifications).

Foundations and goals
Young Christians come together in the Catholic Young Community (KjG). Anyone who agrees with the principles and aims of the organisation can become a member of the KjG. All members, regardless of age, elect the leadership democratically and on an equal footing and decide on the content and working methods of the organisation.
Their respective needs and interests determine the life of the association. The KjG's groups, projects and open programmes offer space for encounters and relationships, shared experiences and joint action. In them, children, teenagers and young adults learn that they are taken seriously and that they are not alone.The KjG supports them in shaping their lives responsibly and developing their own life perspectives. It accompanies them in their search for sustainable life plans and orientation.
It gives them access to the Christian faith and encourages them to lead a self-responsible religious life. The KjG promotes the assumption of social, educational and political responsibility in a variety of ways and supports the development of personal interests and abilities.
The KjG takes up the questions and concerns of children, teenagers and young adults and enables them to represent themselves in church and society. In particular, it is committed to ensuring that children, young people and young adults have an equal say in shaping the parish and local community. It is committed to structures that enable co-determination and co-decision-making.
Joining forces in the KjG creates the conditions for effective representation of interests in public. The KjG also works together with the member associations of the BDKJ as well as with other associations and organisations. With its commitment, the KjG stands up for a democratic, equal and solidary society and church. It opposes all forms of marginalisation and oppression of people and the destruction of the natural foundations of life.
The KjG is committed to a policy that is orientated towards the worldwide realisation of equal and just living conditions and an ecologically responsible way of life. In this endeavour, the members of the KjG declare their solidarity with other children, young people and young adults. They seek to co-operate and meet with them both in their own country and across national borders. In this way, the KjG sees itself as a church in the world in which children, young people and young adults live.

MiSSIon:

The Catholic Young Community (KjG) is a children's and youth organisation in which young people live Christian values through joint activities, learn to form their own opinions and take on social and political responsibility.
We give children, teenagers and young adults space to meet each other, have fun, develop themselves and find their own approaches to faith.

sometimes don’t even have connections to FIMCAP.

Yes, but this differs in each diocese and on the national level there is a e-mail newsletter.

What kind of activity do they carry out?

We create diverse adventure spaces for children. In our youth groups we pay attention to a culture of togetherness and promote a responsible approach to creation. We emphasize the playful engagement with the concrete living environment of the children and enable important experiences of social learning.
We encourage children in their religious development and encourage them to ask questions and search for the meaning of life. In conversation and celebration we share with the children our trust in the God who is turned towards us. We strive to design the liturgy and parish life in a way that is suitable for children.
We accompany children on their way through life by being consciously interested in their living conditions and giving their needs space and a hearing.
We involve children in church and society by assigning them as they are an indispensable role in church and society and by taking them seriously, empowering and encouraging them.

Do you have a theme for the year?

With our annual nationwide campaigns around the day of children’s rights on November 20, we make a contribution to the awareness of children’s rights in Austrian society and are committed to their comprehensive compliance.
The children’s rights campaign 2020 focuses on ecological children’s rights. Children’s rights need strong roots and an earth on which we and future generations can lead a good life. Children have the right to grow up in an intact environment and need prospects for a prosperous life.
Child welfare and environmental protection are inextricably linked. These include, for example, healthy food, clean air, adequate livelihoods and protecting our climate.Under the motto “Children’s rights want roots”, we will symbolically plant flowers, gardens, trees and bushes in autumn 2020, from September 20, the beginning of the SDG week of action, through to Children’s Rights Day on November 20, 2020. We want to point out that we are rooting the 17 sustainable development goals and our commitment to a better world.

Are you in a society or do you have international activities?

We are are member of the Austrian National Youth Council,  the official and legally established representative body of children and youth in Austria, as well as the Network Child Rights Austria / National Coalition or the Implementation of the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child.

As Catholic children’s organization in Austria we are member of the the Catholic Action Austria which sees itself as a lay movement of the Catholic Church and is formed by social Catholic associations in the fields of children, youth, women, men, workers and academics.

We are further part of the ecomenical youth council Austria (Ökumenischer Jugendrat).

Through our development cooperation agency Dreikönigsaktion we are further member of various development cooperation networks in Austria and worldwide (GLOBAL RESPONSIBILITY – Austrian Platform for development and humanitarian aid, Coordination Office of the Austrian Bishops´ Conference).

Patro aims for every young individual to become a « CRACS » (in French) : a Responsible,
Active, Critical, and Supportive Citizen. To achieve this, it offers a specific method. Our key features include:
- Group living through a family-based pedagogy: growing and living together, activities
organized by age groups, and moments that bring all age groups together, such as
summer camps and week-end activities.
- Openness and attention to the most vulnerable: towards everyone, nature, and the
world through meaningful activities. Patro pays particular attention to its financial and
cultural accessibility.
- Objective-based and project-oriented pedagogy: allowing each individual to take on
responsibilities and engage to the best of their abilities.

When did the organisation start?

It started in 1799 in Marseille (France) then in 1850 in Belgium. And the Federation
(organization) is born in 1924.

How many members does it have?

In 2024 :
- 21 895 members
- 3 527 leaders
- 216 local groups
- An average of 101 members/local groups which makes Patro different from other Youth Organization in the French speaking part of Belgium

What kind of activity do they carry out?

Mostly weekly activities (during the WE – Saturday or Sunday depending on the local group)
and a 10 days summer camp.

Do your members wear a uniform or some kind of symbol?

The only thing that’s « mandatory » is a green and yellow scraf.
Some of us do where a green shirt. We always put lots of souvenirs on them.

We are still in the process of making the theme plan for the next 3 years. W’re collecting the topics and needs of our local groups.

We started our international commitee 4 years ago. They do try to participate in most of
FIMCAP events.
We also have a project going with MCECC (summer 2026) and Chiro Flanders (summer
2027). But i twill only be for MCECC/Patro and Chiro/Patro members

- A NL for « the outside world » AKA who aren’t/not anymore in Patro
