A preparatory meeting of part of WoCa’22* participants has finished more than a week ago, but vivid emotions from getting to know each other, some information about Botswana and the local projects, still fuel our charge and help to cope with all the preparatory bureaucratic visa and other procedures. Hope it’s the same for you!
This year’s kick-off seminar took place on 4-10 of May in Overijse, Belgium, and gathered 20 young leaders from eRko (Slovakia), AGLT (Romania), KjG (Germany), Chiro Flanders (Belgium), Patro (Belgium), FDF (Denmark), Ateitis (Lithuania), MCECC (Spain).
In addition to that, there was an online session with the participants from India, Philippines, Burundi, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, Botswana, Haiti, Chile, and Paraguay, where we all had a chance to talk a bit, and even practice a World Camp dance together! Chiro Botswana also has joined online to present their organization, and share the excitement of hosting WoCa 2022.
We also hope that nobody refused the idea to participate in the World Camp after a couple of crazy and inspiring stories of previous World Camp participants, Manu, Geril, Alain, Maria, and Tina 😉
We invite you all to check out the after-movie and feel the unique atmosphere of the seminar! You can also deepen your knowledge of Botswana by watching an exclusive presentation from our beloved coordinators.
*Every three years FIMCAP host a World Camp that allows young people from the member organizations to meet, present their cultures and organizations to each other, and exchange experiences. Participants also would take part in projects to help the local community and immerse themselves in the culture.
In 2022 the World Camp will take place in Botswana from June, 15th till August, 5th. World Camp welcomes participants from Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. This year we expect twice more participants than at the previous edition in the Philippines!
For the participants from European countries, kick-off and follow-up seminars are organized additionally.
